Oracast Tutorials - Email Configuration

Setting up your Oracast email account is a very simple process however if you are ever confused or need assistance, we are here to help. Please have a look below at some of the common settings and issues you may encounter and refer to the "Welcome to Oracast" email if you have receive it.

Common Settings Required

• Server Type: POP3
• SMTP Server: mail.yourdomain.com (replace "yourdomain" with the name of your internet domain)
• POP3 Server: mail.yourdomain.com (replace "yourdomain" with the name of your internet domain)
• Username: You must use you FULL email address (eg. some.user@oracast.com)
• SMTP Authentication: Oracast servers use SMTP Authentication which is set to the same as your incoming mail server
• SMTP Port: Many ISPs are no longer routing port 25 which is needed to properly send email. You will need to change your SMTP Port to 587 or 225 instead of the default 25 if you are having troubles.
